| Spanish abstract | Este artículo hace referencia a las diferentes dimensiones que posee el ser humano como sujeto educable, y a la necesidad de ser abarcado y comprendido en su totalidad para procurarle una formación integral efectiva. Esta reflexión se apoya en algunas teorías acerca de la relación entre inteligencia y sentir, que deben considerarse como elementos básicos constitutivos dentro de la experiencia de aprendizaje y de formación. Se recogen y discuten algunas ideas sobre la complejidad del ser humano en su relación con la realidad; en especial, se recurre al concepto de inteligencia sentiente, de Xavier Zubiri, quien escarba en la posibilidad de la intelección del sentir (los sentidos son inteligentes y la inteligencia es sentiente); se convocan, a la vez, otras experiencias con relación a la dimensión estética, que reconoce la belleza como principio unificador del ser, para hacer visible, de algún modo, la trayectoria del conocer que entra por los sentidos (la experiencia), pasa por el logos, desemboca en la razón y halla camino finalmente, por la reflexión y la crítica, hacia el cultivo del espíritu con el que se busca rescatar al individuo en su humanidad |
| English abstract | This article makes reference to the different dimensions that human beings exhibit in their role as an educable subject. It also deals with the need for thorough understanding of human integrity in order to experience a holistic effective education. This reflection is based upon some theories on the relationship between intelligence and feelings, which should be considered as basic constitutive elements of the learning experience. Some ideas on the complexity of human beings regarding their relationship with reality are gathered and discussed. The concept of “sentient intelligence” proposed by Xavier Zubiri who ponders on the possibility of the intellection of feelings (the senses are intelligent and intelligence is sentient) is specially considered. Simultaneously, other experiences related to the aesthetic dimension, which recognizes beauty as the unifying principle of being, are implemented. All this process is carried out in order to, somehow, highlight the route of knowledge that enters the mind through the senses (experience), goes through the logos and ends in reason to finally find the way, by means of reflection and critique, towards the growth of the spirit used to rescue the individual’s humanity |
