| Spanish abstract | La construcción del "indio", originada con la incorporación forzada de los pueblos indígenas a la economía política colonial y que configuró su representación como "seres y razas inferiores", sujetas a quienes se auto-legitimaron como superiores o civilizados en el campo de la "producción" de conocimientos, forjó al "indio" como objeto a explorar, conocer e investigar en tanto otredad. Dado que la investigación social se ha instituido en estas lógicas, reflexiono sobre ellas desde la experiencia histórica mapuche como posicionamiento político y lugar de enunciación. Sostengo que nuestra posición y participación en la investigación social como "objetos" de estudio, informantes, colaboradores o investigadores, se soporta en jerarquías socio-raciales y políticas forjadas por el colonialismo. También argumento que toda impugnación, corrosión y desmantelamiento de las relaciones coloniales, nos impulsa tanto a un esfuerzo de (auto) crítica de las formaciones ideológicas y epistemológicas hegemónicas, como de las jerarquías socio-raciales y políticas que subyacen a estas relaciones |
| English abstract | The construction of the "indio", originated with the forced incorporation of indigenous people to the colonial economic policy and that configurated their representation as "lower beings and races" tied to who were self-legitimated as superior and civilized, forged the "indio" as an object to explore, know and investigate as otherness in the knowledge production field. As long as the social research has been instituted within these logics, I reflect on them from the historical experience of mapuche people, as a political position and a place of enunciation. I state that our position and participation in social research as "study objects", informants, collaborators or researchers, lies on social, racial and political hierarchies forged by colonialism. I also argue that any impugnation, corrosion and dismantlement of colonial relations drives us not only to an effort of (self) criticism of the ideological and epistemological hegemonic formations, but also of the social, racial and political hierarchies that underlie these relations |
