| Spanish abstract | Algunos autores han relacionado la vida y obra del Inca Garcilaso con el mundo andalusí. Las huellas son efectivamente visibles, sin embargo se objetan aquí lecturas recientes que interpretan la posición marginal del mestizo como un motivo de acercamiento y comprensión hacia moriscos y judíos, los derrotados de Al-Andalus. Se muestra que, por el contrario, el Inca asumió la mentalidad de su medio, recalcó la actuación de sus antepasados y él mismo en la lucha contra los moros y se mostró hostil a todo intento de asimilar los indios con estos grupos, y posiblemente por ello los mencionara muy escasamente |
| English abstract | Some authors have related the life and work of Inca Garcilaso with the Andalusian world. The marks are definitely visible; however, in this paper the author objects to recent readings that interpret the marginal position of the mestizo as a motive for rapprochement and understanding toward Moriscos and Jews, the defeated of Al-Andalus. The author shows that, on the contrary, the Inca assumed the mentality of his medium, underlined his and his ancestors’ role in the struggle against the Moriscos, and was hostile to any attempt at assimilating Indians with these groups, and possibly for this reason he rarely mentioned them |
