| English abstract | This study investigates the process of Teaching Feminization and the construction of the representations on the children’s educational paper and the repercussion of these in the pedagogical practice. This study leans on bibliographical and documental researches, especially in the files of the first Normal school of Caxias do Sul, inaugurated in 1930, in order to find speeches that shows as teachers, students and managers described the woman-teachers’ characteristics. The results pointed for a bond among the mother and housewife roles and the educational role, which still exist nowadays. The communication will be concluded with a reflection concerning the possible repercussions of this representation for the pedagogical practice, showing as such representations builds forms of to be and to act in the world, that, can turn into damages the pedagogical practice |
| Portuguese abstract | Este estudo investiga as representações construídas acerca da mulherprofessora no processo de feminização do magistério e suas possíveis repercussões na prática pedagógica. Para tanto, além de buscar apoio em pesquisas bibliográficas, foi realizado um garimpo nos periódicos internos das décadas de 30 e 40 (séc. XX) da primeira Escola Normal de Caxias do Sul, inaugurada em 1930, a fim de encontrar discursos que explicitassem como professores, alunos e gestores descreviam as características ideais para atuar na função de educadores infantis. Os resultados apontaram a um forte vínculo entre o papel materno/doméstico e o docente, fazendo menção, também, à educação como dom divino. A comunicação será concluída com uma reflexão acerca das possíveis repercussões dessas representações na prática docente, mostrando como essas constroem formas de ser e agir que, de maneira irreflexiva, convertemse em danos à prática pedagógica |
