| Spanish abstract | Objetivo: determinar el índice de asertividad y prevalencia de consumo de alcohol y tabaco en adolescentes del municipio de Querétaro. Método: estudio descriptivo, aleatoriamente participaron 243 estudiantes, se utilizó la subescala aserción y cuestionario de prevalencia de consumo. Se analizaron los datos por estadística descriptiva y se contó con consentimiento informado. Resultados: el índice promedio de asertividad fue 57.35 (DE=16.02) y 43.6% habían consumido alcohol y 18% tabaco alguna vez en su vida. Conclusiones: los resultados muestran un índice de asertividad arriba de la media y mayor prevalencia de consumo de alcohol, información base para establecer estrategias preventivas para adolescentes |
| English abstract | The objective of this study is to determine the incidence of assertiveness and prevalence of alcohol and tobacco in adolescents in the municipality of Querétaro. It is a descriptive study which involved 243 students selected randomly. The assertion subscale and prevalence of use questionnaire was used. The Data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, with obtained informed consent. The average incidence of assertiveness was 57.35 (SD=16.02); 43.6% had consumed alcohol, while 18% had consumed tobacco once in their life. The results show an index of assertiveness above average and a higher prevalence of alcohol consumption. This information serves as a baseline for establishing preventive strategies for teens |
