| Spanish abstract | La esporotricosis es una micosis subcutánea, causada por el hongo dimórfico Sporothrix schenckii, adquirida por inoculación traumática. La forma clásica de presentación es la linfangitica, se observa con mayor frecuencia en miembros superiores, inferiores y cara. Se caracteriza por presentar un goma en el sitio de inoculación, semanas mas tarde aparecen nuevas lesiones las cuales siguen un trayecto linfático. Se presenta el caso de un paciente masculino de 12 años de edad con esporotricosis linfangítica afectando la extremidad superior derecha, fue tratado con itraconazol, obteniéndose resolución clínica y negativización micológica |
| English abstract | The sporotrichosis is a subcutaneous mycosis caused by the dimorphic fungus Sporothrix schenckii, acquired through traumatic entry into the skin. The lymphatic form is the classic clinical presentation. It is observed with more frequency in pelvic and thoracic members as well as in the face. It displays gummas in the site of inoculation, weeks after new lesions appear, these lesions follow a lymphatic trajectory. In this case we present a case of a male , age of 12 years old , with lymphocutaneous sporotrichosis , affecting the right superior extremity , he received treatment with itraconazol , obtaining clinical resolution and mycological negativity |
