| Resumen en inglés | Since the beginning of the 20th century the Guarani have moved from the interior of the southern forests of South America, where they had lived for centuries, in direction of the coast of Southern and Southeastern Brazil. They have been in search of Yvy mara ey, a Land without evil located beyond the sea. Recently these autochthons have achieved greater visibility, because of their struggle for land in these regions, where they can continue to live according to the principles of their culture. This article proposes to analyze the myths which are still in circulation among all of the Mbya-guarani peoples on the Brazilian coast and show how mythology can justify and also orient practices, through the study of myths, the movements of the Guarani populations and theories of action |
| Resumen en portugués | Desde o início do século XX os Guarani foram do interior das florestas meridionais da América do Sul, onde viveram por séculos, em direção à costa das Regiões Sudeste e Sul do Brasil. Iam atrás da Yvy mara ey, a “Terra sem mal”, situada além do oceano. Recentemente estes autóctones ganharam grande visibilidade devido à sua luta pela terra nestas regiões, onde eles podem continuar vivendo conforme os princípios da sua cultura. Este artigo propõe analisar os mitos que continuam circulando entre todos os povos Mbya-guarani na costa brasileira e mostrar como a mitologia pode justificar e também orientar práticas, preferencialmente os estudos dos mitos, os movimentos das populações Guarani e as teorias da práxis |
