| Resumen en español | La aportación de los micros y pequeñas empresas al Producto Interno Bruto es pequeña, pero son las principales fuentes generadoras de empleo en México. En la presente investigación se estudiaron famiempresas que procesan amaranto en Santiago Tulyehualco, Alcaldía Xochimilco. El objetivo principal fue caracterizar sus rasgos culturales, económicos y afectivos que les han permitido sobrevivir. La recolección de información se realizó entre 2018 y 20019 a través de encuestas aplicadas a dueños o encargados y a trabajadores de micro y pequeñas empresas que contenían datos cualitativos y cuantitativos. Las encuestas fueron diseñadas en Excel® para que se hiciera la aplicación y captura simultánea y posteriormente, los datos fueron procesados estadísticamente con SPSS®. Esta información fue complementada con entrevistas semiestructuradas y visitas de observación en los talleres de producción. Los resultados indican que los dueños iniciaron el negocio invirtiendo sus recursos propios para el autoempleo de sus familias y continuar con la tradición de procesar el amaranto. En las famiempresas no hay horarios fijos, no todas las actividades son remuneradas, el desarrollo de capacidades se da a través de la transmisión de conocimientos de una generación a otra, las relaciones con los clientes son de contacto directo; los empresarios no llevan registros administrativos precisos ni hay un plan de negocios a los dueños les gustaría expandir su empresa, pero muy pocos han logrado esta meta, aunque están satisfechos por haber creado un patrimonio familiar y empleos para sus familias. Se concluye que las micro y pequeñas empresas procesadoras de amaranto son famiempresas porque tienen un fuerte vínculo identitario entre la familia y la empresa en el pueblo de Santiago Tulyehualco |
| Resumen en inglés | The contribution of micro and small enterprises to the Gross Domestic Product is small, but they are the main sources of employment in Mexico. The present research studied fami-enterprises that process amaranth in Santiago Tulyehualco, Xochimilco Borough. The main objective was to characterize their cultural, economic and affective characteristics that have allowed them to survive. The collection of information was carried out between 2018 and 20019 through surveys applied to owners or people in charge and workers of micro and small enterprises, which contained qualitative and quantitative data. The surveys were designed in Excel® to make the application and capture simultaneously and subsequently, the data were statistically processed with SPSS®. This information was complemented by semi-structured interviews and observation visits in the production workshops. The results indicate that the owners started the business investing their own resources for the self-employment of their families and to continue with the tradition of processing amaranth. In the fami-enterprises there are no fixed schedules, not all activities are remunerated, the development of skills occurs through the transmission of knowledge from one generation to another, relationships with customers are direct contact; entrepreneurs do not keep accurate administrative records nor is there a business plan, the owners would like to expand their enterprise, but very few have achieved this goal, although they are satisfied to have created a family patrimony and jobs for their families. It is concluded that micro and small amaranth-processing enterprises are fami-enterprises because they have a strong identity link between the family and the enterprise in the town of Santiago Tulyehualco |
