| Resumen en inglés | The general objective of the diagnosis was "to improve the participative municipal planning in cultural and tourist management of the Taisha county through a better knowledge of its cultural manifestations and tourist attractions and challenges". The third specific objective made special reference to the tourism sector, namely: "Evaluate the tourism capacity of the county capital, including existing commercial establishments and tourism service providers", which includes SWOT analysis, inventory and surveys of service providers, and surveys of tourist satisfaction and of profile. The results presented in this article are those related to this last objective. The methodology used was exploratory, descriptive, analytical, quantitative and qualitative. The conclusions and especially the recommendations, as part of the diagnosis, are a contribution to the operational planning of the Tourism Directorate of the Taisha county, especially now that a new management is beginning (2019-2023). |
| Resumen en español | El objetivo general del diagnóstico fue "mejorar la planificación municipal participativa en gestión cultural y turística del cantón Taisha mediante un mejor conocimiento de sus manifestaciones culturales y atractivos y desafíos turísticos". El tercer objetivo específico hacía referencia especialmente al sector turístico, a saber: "Evaluar la capacidad turística de la cabecera cantonal, incluyendo los establecimientos comerciales y prestadores de servicios turísticos existentes", que incluye análisis FODA, inventario y encuestas a prestadores de servicios, y encuestas de satisfacción y de perfil del turista. Los resultados que se exponen en este artículo son los referentes a este último objetivo. La metodología utilizada fue de carácter exploratoria, descriptiva, analítica y de tipo cuantitativa y cualitativa. Las conclusiones y especialmente las recomendaciones, como parte del diagnóstico, son un aporte a la planificación operativa de la Dirección de Turismo del GADM del Cantón Taisha, especialmente ahora que empieza una nueva gestión (2019-2023). |
