| Resumen en español | El crimen organizado se manifi esta de diferentes formas y varía de acuerdo a las características presentadas en cada una de las sociedades latinoamericanas que permitieron su emergencia. En el caso mexicano, la connivencia entre el tráfico de drogas y el poder político surge a raíz de la Revolución Mexicana a comienzos del siglo XX. Por ello, el presente artículo plantea que el problema del crimen organizado en América Latina es de carácter estructural y, por ende, irremediable en el corto plazo, más aún si uno de los instrumentos más importantes para combatirlo es la utilización de la fuerza militar |
| Resumen en inglés | The organized crime manifests in different forms and varies according to the characteristics present in each of the Latin American societies that allowed its emergence. In the Mexican case, the collusion between the drug trafficking and the political power emerges after the Mexican Revolution at the beginning of the 21st Century. Therefore, this article propounds that the problem of the organized crime in Latin American has a structural character and, thus, is irremediable in the short term; moreover, if the use of military force is one of the most important instrument to fi ght it |
