| Resumen en inglés | The present work investigates the existence of the dental and skeletal malocclusion under the light of the surgical intervention. The search of the correction of every facial asymmetry, originating from of a group of internal and external factors, it has been happening in a responsible way and it aims at on the part of the buco-maxilo-facial surgeons, in the intention of reinserting your bearer to the society in a salutary and beneficial way. The treatment of the dentofacial disorders that are not more in the preventive ambit of the orthodontic science has been having great progresses, not only in the technical sense, but mainly, in the human sense. Like this, a constant concern of the medicine and of the dentistry resides in offering to your customers more than simply the cure certain illnesses: but to offer him satisfactory aesthetics, improving your life quality. It is on this that treats this work: to study the approach conducts in orthognatic surgery and the surgical techniques more used. Among all the existent techniques, it is interest of this work to lift data regarding the jawbone sagittal osteotomy and total maxillary osteotomy or Le Fort I, showing the reason of choice for the buco-maxilo-facial surgeons |
| Resumen en portugués | O presente trabalho investiga a existência das maloclusões dentárias e esqueléticas sob a luz da intervenção cirúrgica. A busca da correção de toda assimetria facial, oriunda de um conjunto de fatores internos e externos, tem acontecido de maneira responsável e objetiva por parte dos cirurgiões bucomaxilo- faciais, no intuito de reinserir o seu portador à sociedade de maneira salutar e benéfica. O tratamento das desordens dento-faciais que não estão mais no âmbito preventivo da ciência ortodôntica tem tido grandes avanços, não somente no sentido técnico, mas principalmente no sentido humano. Assim, uma constante preocupação da medicina e da odontologia reside em oferecer mais aos seus clientes do que simplesmente a cura de determinadas enfermidades: mas oferecer-lhes estética satisfatória, melhorando sua qualidade de vida. É sobre isto que trata este trabalho: estudar as condutas de abordagem em cirurgia ortognática e as técnicas cirúrgicas mais utilizadas. Dentre todas as técnicas existentes, é interesse deste trabalho levantar dados com relação às osteotomias sagital da mandíbula e total de maxila ou Le Fort I, mostrando o porquê da sua escolha pelos cirurgiões buco-maxilo-faciais |
