Th u s, after describing in brief traces the C h u rch that w e inherit from the past, w e approach the necessit y of creating a ne w mentalit y in the lait y , u p u ntil no w characteri z ed in the past b y passi v it y . Ho w e v er, w e report that this ne w mentalit y demands change in the ecclesiastical config u ration so that it can allo w the emergence of an ad u lt and acti v e lait y , since an interaction bet w een both alread y e x ists. In the end, w e mention the req u irements of a spirit u al nat u re, as the interior freedom and the lo v e of the C h u rch for an objecti v e j u dgment and a corresponding beha v ior on the part of the indi v id u al in the ecclesiastical community |

A s si m, de po is de de sc re v e r em br e v es tr aç os a Ig re ja q u e he rd am os do pa ss ad o, abordamos a necessidade de se criar u ma no v a mentalidade no laicato, então ca- racteri z ada no passado pela passi v idade. E ntretanto, constatamos q u e a esta no v a mentalidade e x ige também m u dança na config u ração eclesial para q u e possa fa z er emergir u m laicato ad u lto e ati v o, já q u e e x iste u ma interação entre ambas.
