| Resumen en español | Objetivo: Evaluar las propiedades geomecánica y mineralógica de las rocas del Ba-tolito de Pueblo Bello y Patillal al noreste del municipio de El Copey, Cesar y su utiliza-ción para ornamentales, siendo el componente más influyente en sus propiedades la durabilidad como indicadores de calidad, lográndose determinar, si el batolito es viable para su explotación.Metodología: Se describieron macroscópica y microscópicamente las muestras ad-quiridas en campo, identificando propiedades físicas de interés, tales como, la com-posición mineral, estado de la roca frente a los agentes de meteorización y demás.Resultados y conclusiones: Se estableció la resistencia de la matriz rocosa; lo anterior, sirvió para estimar los espesores tentativos de explotación, realizándose adicional-mente cálculos de recursos por el método de bloques para poder tener una idea del potencial geológico minero del área de interés |
| Resumen en inglés | Objective: To evaluate the geomechanical and mineralogical properties of the Bato-lito de Pueblo Bello and Patillal rocks in the northeast of the municipality of El Copey, Cesar and their use for ornamentals, the most influential component of their properties being durability as quality indicators, being able to determine , if the batholith is viable for exploitation.Methodology: The samples acquired in the field were macroscopically and microsco-pically identified, identifying physical properties of interest, such as the mineral com-position, the state of the rock against the weathering agents and others. Results and conclusions: The resistance of the rock matrix was established; the pre-vious thing, served to estimate the tentative thicknesses of exploitation, being realized additionally calculations of resources by the method of blocks to be able to have an idea of the mining geological potential of the area of interest |
