Resumen en inglés | In this paper, a qualitative analysis of stress distribution in a cross section of the human femur is presented. The architecture of the bone tissue internal structure was obtained by mean Radial Holes Method and Finite Element models was made. The analysis reults show that areas of stress concentration are shifted from the contact surface to the interior of bone tissue to difference of solid models. Therefore, bone tissue allows the damping of external forces and diffuee them towards the interior of bone structure, thus reducing contact stresses at the surfaces of the joints that involve femur |
