Resumen en inglés The relationship of Physical Education with Special Education in Cuba is in line with the program developed by the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER). Depending on age and other factors, a person with a disability may be considered a potential talent for competitive sport in national Paralympics and other events, at different times in their lives. After the covid-19, during the sports practices carried out in the area of the Francisco Donatien team in Pinar del Río, it was possible to observe how an athlete F (54) of the throwing modality presented insignificant results in terms of physical tests compared to his previous results. Derived from this, a study was carried out with theoretical level methods, such as analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction and content analysis that allowed presenting this work that has as objective: to determine the relationship that exists between Physical Education, Education Special and the development of physical abilities in athletes with disabilities, category F (54) of the throwing modality in athletics, first category. As a result, the theoretical positions of the relationship between Physical Education, Special Education and the development of physical abilities through adapted physical activity and adjustments based on the individualized diagnosis of the person with physical-motor disabilities are specified. The value of practicing physical exercises and competitive sports for the development, learning and quality of life of people with disabilities is also reaffirmed.
Abstract: The relationship of Physical Education with Special Education in Cuba is in line with the program developed by the National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER).
