Resumen en inglés | The incorporation of information and communication technologies in the teaching-learning process of Higher Education has been one of the premises oriented by the Ministry of Higher Education as a result of the exhaustive review of the training and development programs of the Cuban professionals, consequently the curricular improvement carried out in the Electrical Engineering career at the Technological University of Havana, Cujae, has led to a new plan of the teaching process, in which the essentiality of the contents constitutes a fundamental aspect to reduce the training time and achieve higher levels of independence, autonomy, motivation and leadership of the student. In this sense, it is intended to increase the use of free software as didactic tools that make it possible to improve the teaching-learning process through experimentation with measurement instruments that do not need to be physically implemented. The objective of the article is to propose the PhET simulator as an educational resource to improve the teaching-learning process of Electrical Circuits subjects. The analytical methods were used - synthetic and interview. As a main result, the potential of the simulator is recognized both for the role of the student as a builder of knowledge and for the role of the teacher as a counselor and guide through interactivity, as well as the favorable criteria issued by the students that corroborate that it is useful to contrast theory with practice and to verify the veracity resulting from theoretical exercises. |
AbstracThe incorporation of information and communication technologies in the teaching-learning process of Higher Education has been one of the premises oriented by the Ministry of Higher Education as a result of the exhaustive review of the training and development programs of the Cuban professionals, consequently the curricular improvement carried out in the Electrical Engineering career at the Technological University of Havana, Cujae, has led to a new plan of the teaching process, in which the essentiality of the contents constitutes a fundamental aspect to reduce the training time and achieve higher levels of independence, autonomy, motivation and leadership of the student.
