| Resumen en español | El presente ensayo se sust enta en el análisis sobre diferentes propuestas paradigmáticas que se ofrecen al docente investigador para su reflexión por cuanto existe diversidad de métodos para investigar y se encuentran aún en permanente debate. En este sentido se analizaron referentes teóricos con respecto a las teorías de Investigación Educativa y los objetos de estudios pertinentes al ámbito educativo. Por otra parte se hace un análisis de las tres tesis básicas de Walter y Evers que conllevan al debate paradigmático. Finalmente se concluye que la investigación cualitativa está abarcando actualmente un espacio importante en el ejercicio de investigación social, la docencia y la formación metodológica, por tanto se presenta como una posibilidad válida de aprender a investigar desde una postura diferente a la cuantitativa permitiendo valorar el análisis y la interpretación de la palabra de los actores sociales como portadores de significado sobre el hecho educativo |
| Resumen en inglés | This paper is based on the analysis of the different paradigmatic proposals offered to researchers to reflect, due to the existence of a diversity of methods to research which are in constant debate. In this sense, theoretical frameworks were discussed in relation to the Educational Research theories, as well as the objects of study related to the educational field. Moreover, an analysis of Walter and Ever three basic theses is done, that leads to a paradigmatic debate. Finally, it is concluded that qualitative research is currently covering an important place in the social research prac tice, the teaching and the methodological training. Therefore, another valid opportunity to learn to research, different from the quantitative perspective is presented, which allows valuing the analysis and interpretation of the social actors’ discourse, who are the ones that own the real signification of the educational act |
