| Resumen en inglés | This paper aims to approach the relationship between the psychoanalysis and the Hellenistic philosophy, specially the stoic and epicurean. The paper begins with a study of the main characteristics of the Hellenistic philosophy in order to compare it, at the end, to the psychoanalytical practice. As the Ancient Philosophy, Psychoanalysis a practice that aims to fulfill a specific sort of truth. However, the conditions and the method for the access of the truth are not the same in psychoanalysis and in Hellenistic philosophy, and their differences will be explicated in this work. It will also be studied in this paper the decline of the practical philosophy throughout the history of philosophy, with the aim of situating the psychoanalysis in the modern philosophy's development |
| Resumen en portugués | Esse artigo pretende abordar as relações entre Psicanálise e as filosofias helenísticas, em especial a estoica e a epicurista. O artigo inicia com um estudo das mais importantes características da filosofia helenística para compará-‐la, ao fim, à prática psicanalítica. Tal como as filosofias antigas, a Psicanálise é uma prática que deseja alcançar um tipo específico de verdade. No entanto, as condições e o método para o acesso à verdade e a própria qualidade dessa verdade são diferentes no caso da Psicanálise e da filosofia helenística, e serão aqui explicitadas. Estudaremos também nesse trabalho o declínio da filosofia prática na história da filosofia com o objetivo de situar a Psicanálise frente ao desenvolvimento da filosofia moderna |
