| Resumen en español | Con motivo del cierre de los yacimientos carboníferos de la Octava Región, se sustentó en la Universidad del Bío-Bío el Proyecto de Investigación (DIUBB 084726 1/R), con la finalidad de recopilar narraciones míticas, in situ, mediante el trabajo de campo. Este artículo aborda antecedentes relacionados con el cierre de las minas de carbón y el pensamiento mítico, desde la perspectiva de Cassirer, Malinowski, Carrasco y Dannemann, lo que permite establecer precisiones a nivel de elementos estructurales entre la creencia popular y la creencia mítica. Esta ponencia se vincula –en gran medida– al área de literatura oral (Ong, 1999). Asimismo, se intenta establecer relaciones y comparaciones a nivel de las manifestaciones míticas acontecidas en los cuatro ex centros mineros (Coronel, Lota, Curanilahue y Lebu), considerando las siguientes temáticas: mitos heredados socialmente, paralelismos a nivel de sectores de la mina y, finalmente, relatos míticos y animísticos actualizados mediante el proceso cognitivo (recuerdo y reconocimiento) |
| Resumen en inglés | After the closing of the coal beds in the VIII Region, the Universidad del Bio-Bio upheld a research project (DIUBB 084726 I/R ) with the aim of compiling in situ, through a fi eld research, myth narrations. This work address antecedents related to coal mines closing and mythical thought from the perspective of Cassirer, Malinowski, Carrasco and Dannemann, establishing precisions at a structural elements level between popular and mythical belief. For this reason, this work is linked with the oral literature studies. At the same time, try to related mythical manifestations occurred inside the mines in the four former mine centers (Coronel, Lota, Curanilahue, and Lebu) following the next topics: socially inherited myths, parallelisms according mine sectors and, fi nally, updated mythical stories using a cognitive process ( memories and recognition) |
