| Resumen en español | En este ensayo se revisan algunas de las particularidades de sentido atribuidas al fenómeno de la internacionalización de la investigación social y los fines institucionales de su evaluación, diferenciando algunos de los rasgos que dicho fenómeno adquiere en la región latinoamericana. El abordaje no se limita al marco institucional y a los criterios de organización y funcionamiento que históricamente han regulado a la actividad de investigación, sino se propone efectuarlo desde una perspectiva donde el carácter de internacional radique en las posibilidades de las comunidades académicas para ocupar posiciones en aquellos espacios donde las preguntas son planteadas, y donde tienen lugar los debates de importancia mundial. Con este objetivo se delinea tal propuesta en función de dos ejes de análisis: a) las consecuencias interpretativas sobre el vínculo entre internacionalización de la investigación y la evaluación institucionalizada; b) la noción de internacionalización fundada en la naturaleza innovadora del conocimiento, y su correlato con las transformaciones y nuevas demandas del entorno social |
| Resumen en inglés | This essay reviews some of the particularities and meaning attributed to the phenomenon of the internationalization of social research and the institutional purposes of its evaluation, differentiating some of the features that this phenomenon acquires in the Latin American region. The approach is not limited to the institutional framework and the criteria of organization and operation that have historically regulated the research activity, but rather it is proposed to do so from a perspective where the international character lies in the possibilities of the academic communities to occupy positions in those spaces where questions are posed, and where debates of global importance take place. With this objective, such a proposal is outlined based on two axes of analysis: a) the interpretative consequences on the link between internationalization of research and institutionalized evaluation, and b) the notion of internationalization based on the innovative nature of knowledge, and its correlation with the transformations and new demands of the social environment |
