Resumen en inglés In this paper gaseous emissions from fire tube boilers of the Central Battery, where the crude oil of the wells is subjected to treatment to eliminate a high percent of water and that allows their commercialisation, were characterized to determine their environmental impact. The employment of this gas in the boilers allows to diminish the environmental impact when substituting the crude oil like combustible, as well as the best form of exploitation of these boilers that reduce the problems of corrosion according to the specialized literature and it is demonstrated that it is obtained an environmental improves with substantial economic benefits. The sampling of SO2, NOX, and CO, was executed with a MSI Combustion Analyser. The analysis of total suspended particles in chimneys, after their collection in filters was carried out for the ISO gravimetric method. They were also carried out flow measurements with a speed measurement device by using the S – type Pitot tube method. The aromatics hydrocarbons were determined by UV spectrophotometer. The simulation of pollutant dispersion emitted by chimneys was executed using software for the calculation of the concentration starting from continuous industrial sources applying the methodology approved in the NC 39 Cuban norm, according to Berliand method. It can conclude from this study that when burning gas in the boilers, the pollution emitted to the environment is inferior to those emitted when Cuban crude oil burns
