Resumen en inglés | The chemical composition of the bark of Eucalyptus pellita F. Muell was studied, to three heights of the commercial bole; the samples were used coming from the Forest Company of Macurijes, in the province of Pinar del Río, Cuba. Were determined the cellulose contents, lignina, hemicellulose, ash, as well as the extractive substances in different systems of solvents, using the TAPPI Norms. The bark's cellulose was studied by means of Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) and IR espectroscopy. The results suggest great variability in the contents of extractive substances in water at 95º C, NaOH to 1% and great variability in the mineral substances with the height of the commercial bole; not showing this behaviour with the soluble substances in hexano. The cellulose shows by means of the analysis of DSC and IR a structure less reticulated in the superior part of the bole, demonstrating structural differences that can be due to the polymerization degree and cristalinity of the same one |
