| Resumen en español | En este trabajo se estudiará cómo la “geopolítica crítica”, heredera de la histórica “geopolítica clásica”, ayuda a la mejor comprensión de la seguridad global. Para llevar adelante la argumentación, en primer lugar se definirá someramente qué se entiende por “geopolítica crítica”, y luego se explicará la concepción de “seguridad global” a partir de un análisis de la reconceptualización la “seguridad” tradicional, propia del siglo XX |
| Resumen en inglés | After the end of the Cold War, the concept of security, as well as many others conceived closely with the defense of the homeland , feature of the Westfalian State has been object of several changes that reflect much better the present reality of the relations among international agents, where the State continues to be predominant. A new arise of “geopolitics” was also produced,” but in a version of thoughts, like the “critical geopolitics” is, whose analysis and study elements have been affected for the same two big process that affected security as well, these are globalization and democratization. In the other hand, democracy has also experimented changes in its conception, produced by big changes; this is how new democratic models like the “cosmopolitan” , that gathers many aspects that are endorsed by the new concepts of security, specially due to the arise of “human security” and “cooperation” as a dominant element of international relations. The new arise of geopolitics, from another perspective different from the classic one, that matches in some aspects with what we have expressed, helps to better understand the new concept that security has suffered, when passing from “national security” to “global security””, containing “international security”, “national security” and “human security”, as a trinity |
