| Resumen en español | El conocimiento es la fuente principal de generació n de ventajas competitivas de cualquier organización. De allí que resulte evidente la neces idad de transformar los sistemas educativos para que respondan a las demandas de una nueva sociedad: la del conocimiento. Además, existe una tendencia mundial hacia el desarrollo sostenible, e s decir en armonía con el ambiente. Por ello, el objetivo de esta investigación es analizar la gesti ón del conocimiento ambiental desde la Universidad del Zulia hacia el entorno social. Las bases teóricas empleadas están referidas a la gestión del conocimiento, funciones gerenciales, in teligencia emocional y gestión por competencias. La investigación fue descriptiva, de tipo transeccional, pues se limitó a una sola observación en un solo momento de tiempo. La inform ación se recabó a través de un cuestionario validado por expertos, con treinta y cuatro (34) re activos, el cual se aplicó a los coordinadores y a algunos profesores investigadores de las unidades d e investigación ambiental. Se hizo un análisis de los estadísticos descriptivos empleando el SPSS 10.0. Los resultados permitieron establecer que las unidades crean y organizan el conocimiento, presentan debilidades en algunas funciones gerenciales, pero tienen éxito en otras; participan raras veces en cluster o redes de investigación y raras veces transfieren el conocimiento a las comun idades. En conclusión, la generación de conocimientos ambientales es exitosa en estas unida des de investigación, pero existen deficiencias en cuanto a la transferencia de los conocimientos a l entorno |
| Resumen en inglés | The knowledge is the main source of generating comp etitive advantage of any organization. Of there that is evident the necessity to transform ed ucation systems to that they respond to the demands of a new society: that of the knowledge. Al so, a world tendency exists toward the sustainable development, that is to say in harmony with the environmental. For it, the objective of this investigation is analyze knowledge management environment from the University of Zulia to the social environment. The theoretical principles employed ar e related to knowledge management, management functions, emotional intelligence and ma nagement skills. The research was descriptive type transectional therefore was limite d to a single observation in a single moment of time. Information was collected through a questionn aire validated by experts, with thirty-four (34) reagents, which was applied to the coordinators and some teachers investigators units environmental research. There was a statistical ana lysis of the narrative using the SPSS 10.0. The results found that the units create and organize kn owledge, have weaknesses in some managerial functions, but are successful in others, and rarely participate in clusters or networks of research an d rarely transferred knowledge to the communities. In conclusion, the generation of environmental knowledge is successful in these research units, bu t there are deficiencies in the transfer of knowledge to the environment |
