Resumen en español | El deterioro nutricional del lactante con enfermedad hepática crónica (EHC) es secundario principalmente a problemas en la ingesta, absorción y excreción de alimentos. Presentan compromiso del índice peso para la edad (P/E) y talla para la edad (T/E), principalmente. Igualmente, estos pacientes presentan alteraciones importantes en cuanto a los paraclínicos como hipoalbuminemia y anemia. Como se ha reportado en la literatura mundial, en las EHC, se observa un compromiso de los niveles de vitaminas liposolubles, con un mayor compromiso de las vitaminas A y E. El deterioro nutricional que se presenta en los pacientes con EHC es una secuela de suma gravedad que si no es detectada y tratada a tiempo en un futuro es irreversible, dejando graves daños tanto a nivel nutricional como neurológico. Resumen en inglés | The nutritional injury of the infant with chronic hepatic disease (CHD) is secondary mainly to problems in the ingest, absorption and excretion of foods. Can observe a commitment defi cit in the index weight for the age (W/A) and in the index height for the age (H/A), mainly. Equally, this group of patients presented important alterations as for the lab, with hipoalbuminemia and anemia. As it has been reported in the international literature, in the CHD you leave a commitment of the levels of vitamins liposolubles, seeing a bigger commitment of the vitamins A and E. The nutritional deterioration that is presented in the patients with CHD is a sequel of supreme graveness that if it is not detected and tried on time in a future is irreversible, leaving serious sequels as much to nutritional as neurological level.
