| Resumen en español | El presente artículo describe el origen y evolución de las actividades y disciplinas deportivas que se practicaron durante el siglo XX en Aguascalientes, y pretende determinar los principales promotores, atletas, el marco jurídico, las instituciones, instalaciones, los clubes deportivos, tanto privados como públicos que se fundaron; así como las acciones y resultados de la política deportiva de tipo público que implementaron las autoridades del estado para el fomento y promoción de las prácticas y disciplinas deportivas. Al respecto, el detonante del inicio de la práctica formal de diversas disciplinas deportivas, de clubes y ligas de béisbol, fútbol, básquetbol, tenis, voleibol, box, atletismo, polo, natación, charrería, lo constituyeron la instalación de los Talleres Generales de Construcción y Reparación de Máquinas y Material Rodante (1897), la American Smelting, La Perla, Jabonera del Centro, en la ciudad de Aguascalientes |
| Resumen en inglés | This article describes the origin and evolution of activities and sports that were practiced during the twentieth century in Aguascalientes, and aims to identify the main promoters, athletes, the legal framework, institutions, facilities, both private sports clubs and public that were founded, as well as the actions and results of sports policy of public type that implemented the state authorities for the development and promotion of practices and sports. In this regard, the trigger for the start of the formal practice of various sporting disciplines, clubs and leagues of baseball, football, basketball, tennis, volleyball, boxing, athletics, polo, swimming and horsemanship, what were the Installations of the General Workshops Construction and Repair Machines and Rolling Stock (1897), the American Smelting, The Pearl, the Jabonera Center, in the city of Aguascalientes |
