Resumen en inglés | The effect of imposed oscillations to a plymer extrusion process has been studied experimentaly. By using a simple crank-slider mechanism, longitudinal, transversal and helicoidal oscillations were imposed at the exit of a melted polymer extrusion flow. It was found that the mechanical properties of the polymers extruded under the action of the imposed oscillatios were better compared to products extruded in ordinary conditions. it can be argued that the imposed oscillation produce a preferential orentation of the polymers chains in the extruded products. Using fiber tracers, it was shown that a preferential orientation is indeed produced in the final structure of the polymers |
