Resumen en inglés | Chattering is a defect that arises due to the reactive motion of the work piece and the machining tools. Quality systems require online devices to detect this deffect in the manufacture of industrial products as control points to avoid production losses. In this paper, a detection method of chatter marks for cylindrical grinding by means of the wavelet transform is presented. Ths results obtained with an experimental set-up for chattering identification are shown, as well as the information obtained through the processing steps. It was found that the method detects adequately chattering on the work piede, estimated the magnitude, and provides information of the perimetral distribution, showing the benefits of the technique |
