Resumen en inglés This article aimed to identify positive aspects and aspects to be improved in the relations between the Technological Innovation Center of a campus of the Instituto Federal Farroupilha, in the Northwest of Rio Grande do Sul, with Quadruple Helix actors, in the context of regional development. As ua data collection methodology, bibliographic research was used on the themes and interviews with representatives of the four helices of the municipality - university, company, government and society. As a methodology for data analysis and interpretation, content analysis was used. The results showed positive aspects regarding the infrastructure and qualified professionals, and aspects to be improved regarding the connections and relationships of the NIT with the Quadruple Helix institutions. It is concluded that, for the NIT to contribute to institutions and regional development, a cultural change is essential, to provide greater knowledge and reformulations in the processes and dynamics that involve the NIT and the four helices.
Resumen en español Este artículo tuvo como objetivo identificar aspectos positivos y a mejorar en las relaciones del Centro de Innovación Tecnológica de un campus del Instituto Federal Farroupilha, en el Noroeste de Rio Grande do Sul, con actores de la Cuádruple Hélice, en el contexto del desarrollo regional. Como metodología de recolección de datos, se utilizó la investigación bibliográfica sobre los temas y entrevistas con representantes de las cuatro hélices del municipio - universidad, empresa, gobierno y sociedad. Como metodología para el análisis e interpretación de datos se utilizó el análisis de contenido. Los resultados mostraron aspectos positivos en cuanto a la infraestructura y profesionales calificados, y aspectos a mejorar en cuanto a las conexiones y relaciones del NIT con las instituciones de la Cuádruple Hélice. Se concluye que, para que las NIT contribuyan a la institucionalidad y al desarrollo regional, es fundamental un cambio cultural, que aporte mayores conocimientos y reformulaciones en los procesos y dinámicas que involucran a las NIT y las cuatro hélices.
Resumen en portugués Este artigo teve como objetivo identificar aspectos positivos e aspectos a serem melhorados nas relações entre o Núcleo de Inovação Tecnológica de um campus do Instituto Federal Farroupilha, no Noroeste do Rio Grande do Sul, com atores da Hélice Quádrupla, no contexto do desenvolvimento regional. Como metodologia de coleta de dados, utilizou-se pesquisa bibliográfica sobre as temáticas e entrevistas com representantes das quatro hélices do município – universidade, empresa, governo e sociedade. Como metodologia de análise e interpretação de dados, utilizou-se análise de conteúdo. Os resultados evidenciaram aspectos positivos quanto à infraestrutura e profissionais qualificados, e aspectos a serem melhorados quanto às conexões e relações do NIT com as instituições da Hélice Quádrupla.
