| Resumen en inglés | If the concept of information is important to the Information Science (IS) it must be based upon a theoretical point of view which allows setting up principles about what information is and how it is investigated. This is our investigative interest: how to look up information? Our strategy will be to stay distant from a conceptual literature review from the IS contemporary authors from and to go through a brief analysis of the IS scientific investigations’ evolution; then to complete the investigation it will be used the formulations by Birger Hjørland - information is investigated by the socio-cultural perspective from the concepts of discursive community and domain analysis - referring to the concept of information attached to the theoretical approaches of IS |
| Resumen en portugués | Se o conceito de informação é importante para a área da Ciência da Informação - CI, este deve estar ancorado por um ponto de vista teórico que possa estabelecer princípios do que seja informação e como investigá-la. É este o nosso interesse investigativo: como olhar a informação? Nossa estratégia será distanciar de uma revisão de literatura conceitual dos autores contemporâneos da área, e entranhar por uma breve análise da evolução das investigações científicas da CI, completando-a com as formulações feitas por Birger Hjørland – a informação é investigada por meio da abordagem sócio-cultural e dos conceitos de comunidade discursiva e análise de domínio no que diz respeito ao conceito de informação atrelada às abordagens teóricas da CI |
