| Resumen en inglés | This research constitutes a study of the theories related to leadership and governance and their influence on the success of university management. It is based on the contributions of Zenger and Folkman (2013), Yáber et al. (2018), Carrillo (2016), Dulce (2015), Covey (1993), Cohen (2010), Goleman (1998), Ibarra and Rondero (2011), among others. The methodology used consisted of a descriptive research. Governance and global leadership and its application in university management were studied, as well as the aspects that characterize a successful global leader and their relationship with management and the management tools that will allow them to carry out their duties effectively while contributing to the development of your team of collaborators. |
| Resumen en español | La presente investigación constituye un estudio de las teorías relacionadas con el liderazgo y la gobernanza y su influencia en el éxito de la gestión universitaria. Se fundamenta en los aportes de Zenger y Folkman (2013), Yáber y col. (2018), Carrillo (2016), Dulce (2015), Covey (1993), Cohen (2010), Goleman (1998), Ibarra y Rondero (2011), entre otros. La metodología utilizada consistió en una investigación de tipo descriptiva. Se estudió la gobernanza y el liderazgo global y su aplicación en la gestión universitaria, los aspectos que caracterizan a un líder global exitoso y su vinculación con la gerencia y las herramientas gerenciales que le permitirán desarrollar sus funciones con efectividad a la vez que contribuye al desarrollo de su equipo de colaboradores. |
