| Resumen en español | Aristóteles afirma que aunque los regímenes políticos varían de un lugar a otro, uno solo es en todas partes el mejor por naturaleza. Se analizan algunos problemas que derivan de esta afirmación, para mostrar que ella no significa que en el mejor régimen quede abolida la diversidad de formas políticas, ni resulte superflua la justicia convencional. Además, la idea aristotélica del mejor régimen difiere radicalmente del utopismo posterior. Por último, se estudia la relación que se da entre lo justo natural, tal como se presenta en la Ética a Nicómaco, y la cuestión del mejor régimen en la Política |
| Resumen en inglés | Aristotle states that although political regimes vary from place to place, only one is by nature the best regime possible anywhere. The article analyzes some of the problems deriving from this statement, in order to show that the diversity of political forms is not abolished in that best regime and that conventional justice does not end up being superfluous. Furthermore, the Aristotelian idea of the best regime is radically different from later utopianism. Finally, the article examines the relation between the naturally just, as it is set forth in the NicomacheanEthics, and the issue of the best regime, as dealt with in the Politics |
