Resumen en inglés | This article deals with the functioning of the group in the school environment, due to its value as a context of influence on the personality and aims at proposing a set of indicators favoring the characterization of school group as a socio psychological phenomenon. Theoretical methods such as analysis and synthesis and inductive deductive were used as well as the survey and observation in order to know about the expectations of the fifth grade students regarding their school group and the behavior of the group members in the activities they carried out. The data was processed through percentage analysis and complemented with qualitative analysis that allowed establishing links between the main data, in the form of methodological triangulation, and identifying insufficiencies and potentialities associated with interpersonal relationships, norms and values, which allowed assessing the group cohesion as low. These results show the need to carry out the characterization and a dynamic diagnosis of the group's functioning, in order to implement pedagogical alternatives that increase its potential to mobilize its members in the fulfillment of the planned socio-educational objectives, while developing their personality. |
Resumen en español | El presente artículo está relacionado con el funcionamiento del grupo en el ámbito escolar, por su valor como contexto de influencia en la personalidad y tiene como objetivo proponer indicadores que favorezcan la caracterización del grupo escolar, como fenómeno sociopsicológico. Se aplicaron métodos del nivel teórico (Analítico-sintético, inductivo-deductivo) y del nivel empírico (la encuesta y la observación), en un grupo de quinto grado de la Educación Primaria, que permitieron conocer las expectativas de los educandos respecto a su grupo escolar y sus criterios acerca del comportamiento de los integrantes del grupo en las actividades que realizan. Los datos fueron procesados mediante el análisis porcentual y complementados con el análisis cualitativo que permitieron establecer nexos entre los principales datos e identificar insuficiencias asociadas a las relaciones interpersonales, a las normas y valores y valorar la cohesión grupal como baja. Estos resultados evidencian la necesidad de realizar la caracterización del funcionamiento del grupo, como herramienta imprescindible para movilizar a los integrantes del grupo en el cumplimiento de los objetivos socioeducativos previstos.Abstract:This article deals with the functioning of the group in the school environment, due to its value as a context of influence on the personality and aims at proposing a set of indicators favoring the characterization of school group as a socio psychological phenomenon.
