| Resumen en español | Este artículo muestra cómo se han conformado los estratos socioeconómicos y cómo se distribuyen en la ciudad de Aguascalientes, comparando información de los años 1990, 2000 y 2010. Se parte de la hipótesis de que durante este periodo ha habido una tendencia a la desigualdad social y espacial, que se manifiesta en mayor segregación de los estratos socioeconómicos en la ciudad. Se utiliza una metodología centrada en las características de las viviendas y se realiza un análisis espacial en dos escalas demográfico-territoriales: áreas geoestadísticas básicas (ageb) y manzanas urbanas. Para ello, el artículo pretende operacionalizar el concepto de división social del espacio mediante la técnica estadística de análisis de clúster para obtener seis estratos sociales. Se retoma el concepto de espacio social de Pierre Bourdieu, basado en las distintas formas que adquiere y transformado por los diferentes tipos de capital de las personas, lo que genera un modelo de clases. La georreferenciación de los estratos en mapas per-mite identificar su distribución espacial en la ciudad durante los años de estudio y de esta manera observar la tendencia a una mayor separación social y física en la ciudad |
| Resumen en inglés | This article’s main objective is to show how the socioeconomic strata have been formed and how they are distributed in the city of Aguascalientes by comparing infor-mation from the years 1990, 2000 and 2010. It is based on the hypothesis that during this period there is a trend towards social and spatial inequality that manifests itself in a greater segregation of the socioeconomic strata in the territory of the city. A meth-odology focused on the characteristics of the dwellings is used and a spatial analysis is carried out on two demographic-territorial scales: basic geostatistical areas (ageb) and urban blocks. For this, the article aims to operationalize the concept of the social division of space through the statistical technique of cluster analysis to obtain six social strata. Pierre Bourdieu’s concept of social space is retaken, based on the different forms acquired and transformed by the different types of people’s capital, which generates a class model. The georeferencing of the strata through maps allows us to identify their spatial distribution in the city during the years of study and thus observe the trend of a greater social and physical separation in the city of Aguascalientes |
