| Resumen en inglés | The main objective of this paper is to describe and analyze the socio-interactional mechanisms used in the speech of the former minister of education Abraham Weintraub during a ministerial meeting on April 22, 2020, aiming to unveil in his speech the ways in which the subject of this speech ratifies a collective identity of a group ideologically aligned with the Bolsonaro government. The theoretical apparatus of this study is primarily based on the general concepts of Interactional Sociolinguistics and Conversation Analysis, taking as central phenomena social cognition as a rhetorical-discursive process and (im)politeness strategies as resources of categorization and cultural identification. For the composition of the analysis data, the official transcript of the Federal Court and a video published in full by the journalistic vehicle UOL were used. We adopt an ethnomethodological stance on data, aimed at structuring social action in everyday interactions (GARFINKEL, 1967). It was intended, therefore, to investigate not only linguistic structures, but mainly what the participants are doing in the interaction and how they textually-discursively indicate what they are doing. It was concluded that Weintraub's discourse promotes an annulment of Brazilian cultural diversity and the weakening of the democratic institutions of the Republic through socio-interactional strategies of (im)politeness that build a rhetorical-discursive and narrative appeal around a supposed collective identity aligned to Bolsonaro values and ideas |
| Resumen en portugués | Este trabalho tem como objetivo central descrever e analisar os mecanismos sociointeracionais empreendidos na fala do ex-ministro da educação Abraham Weintraub durante reunião ministerial do dia 22 de abril de 2020, visando a desvelar em sua fala os modos pelos quais o sujeito desse discurso ratifica uma identidade coletiva de um grupo ideologicamente alinhado ao bolsonarismo. O aparato teórico deste estudo se baseia primordialmente nos conceitos gerais da Sociolinguística Interacional e da Análise da Conversação, tomando como fenômenos centrais a sociocognição como processo retórico-discursivo e as estratégias de (im)polidez como recursos de categorização e identificação cultural. Para a composição dos dados de análise, utilizou-se a transcrição oficial da Justiça Federal e vídeo publicado na íntegra pelo veículo jornalístico UOL. Adotamos uma postura etnometodológica acerca dos dados, voltada para a estruturação da ação social nas interações cotidianas (GARFINKEL, 1967). Pretendeu-se, assim, investigar não apenas estruturas linguísticas, mas principalmente o que os participantes estão fazendo na interação e como eles sinalizam textual-discursivamente o que estão fazendo. Concluiu-se que o discurso de Weintraub promove uma anulação da diversidade cultural brasileira e o enfraquecimento das instituições democráticas da República por meio de estratégias sociointeracionais de (im)polidez que constroem um apelo retórico-discursivo e narrativo em torno de uma suposta identidade coletiva bolsonarista |
