| Resumen en español | Se aborda sobre la historia de las bibliotecas de la Cámara de Representantes, del Senado y del Poder Legislativo; las que conformaron el Congreso de la República de Cuba y que tuvieron como sede final el Capitolio Nacional hasta 1965. Se presenta como fueron constituidas y el carácter parlamentario de su fundación. Se pretende determinar el valor histórico cultural e informacional de la colección. El diseño metodológico es descriptivo, a partir de un diseño mixto, los datos de inventario y procesamiento se complementaron con un estudio teórico e histórico que permitió reconstruir los orígenes de la colección y esclarecer sus características más significativas por lo que se aplicó métodos como: análisis documental clásico, análisis de contenido, método histórico-lógico, y entrevista semiestructurada para abordar el estudio. Cómo resultado se asignó el valor histórico, cultural o informacional a cada documento que integró la colección de las bibliotecas, además de servir de herramienta para otras bibliotecas públicas que atesoran colecciones originales que pueden ser de interés nacional. El abordaje del tema expone el proceso social y cultural de la época de constituidas. Como conclusiones: la colección estudiada cumple con ocho de los requisitos establecidos por el Sistema Nacional de Bibliotecas Públicas para considerar si un libro es patrimonial, estos requisitos además de las características específicas de cada uno determinaron el valor histórico, cultural e informacional de cada título, asimismo constituyen herencia material de las antiguas bibliotecas parlamentarias cubanas. Una evaluación de este tipo no ha sido realizada hasta la fecha, por lo que resultaron de interés los datos obtenidos, ya que permitirán incorporar al patrimonio de la nación aquellos que se demuestre pertenecen a él |
| Resumen en inglés | It deals with the history of the libraries of the House of Representatives, the Senate and the Legislative Power; those that formed the Congress of the Republic of Cuba and that had the National Capitol as their final headquarters until 1965. It is presented how they were constituted and the parliamentary nature of their foundation. It is intended to determine the historical, cultural and informational value of the collection. The methodological design is descriptive, based on a mixed design, the inventory and processing data were complemented with a theoretical and historical study that allowed reconstructing the origins of the collection and clarifying its most significant characteristics, for which methods such as: analysis classic documentary, content analysis, historical-logical method, and semi-structured interview to address the study. As a result, the historical, cultural or informational value was assigned to each document that made up the library collection, in addition to serving as a tool for other public libraries that hold original collections that may be of national interest. The approach of the subject exposes the social and cultural process of the time of constituted. As conclusions: the studied collection meets eight of the requirements established by the National System of Public Libraries to consider if a book is patrimonial, these requirements, in addition to the specific characteristics of each one, determined the historical, cultural and informational value of each title, They also constitute material heritage of the old Cuban parliamentary libraries. An evaluation of this type has not been carried out to date, so the data obtained were of interest, since they will allow those that are proven to belong to the nation's heritage to be incorporated |
