| Resumen en español | Los estudios de vulnerabilidad del fondo habitacional son una herramienta importante en la toma de decisiones por las autoridades locales, respecto a la intervención en el patrimonio construido y la disminución de la vulnerabilidad física del mismo. Este artículo aborda un estudio realizado para una de las localidades más dañadas en los últimos veinticinco años por ciclones tropicales en la región central de Cuba. El empleo de un Sistema de Información Geográfica, la definición de los vientos predominantes de huracanes y de diferentes niveles de vulnerabilidad a escala urbana y para los inmuebles, establece prioridades respecto a la rehabilitación constructiva del fondo habitacional |
| Resumen en inglés | The studies about the vulnerability of the houses are an important tool in the taking of decisions for the local authorities regarding to the intervention of the patrimony and the decreasing of the physical vulnerability of this. This article is about a study made for one of the most damaged locality by tropical cyclones in the last twenty five years in the central region of Cuba. The use of a Geographical Information System, the definition of the most dangerous winds because of the hurricanes and the different levels of vulnerability at the urban scale and for the houses, stablish some priorities regarding to the constructive rehabilitation of the houses of this zone |
