| Resumen en español | En el contexto del estudio de la formación de la crónica latinoamericana, el presente artículo se propone abordar un texto de Rubén Darío destinado a ser el prólogo de una obra no publicada del escritor chileno Narciso Tondreau. Por sus características, dicho prólogo reúne elementos que se acercan al género cronístico que, más tarde, desarrollaría el poeta nicaragüense. Desde el punto de vista temático, se escogen los pasajes relacionados con los comentarios que Darío hace de la ciudad de Santiago, con el fin de ejemplificar la flânerie dariana según las características que presenta Dorde Cuvardic García, a saber: 1) La noción de peregrinaje cultural a los santuarios de la cultura, 2) la mirada turística de la flânerie dariana, y 3) la evaluación del espacio público. Se concluye que la ciudad dariana representa las determinaciones que abren el camino al escritor moderno como artista y periodista al mismo tiempo |
| Resumen en inglés | In the context of the study of the foundations of the Latin-American chronicle, the aim of this paper is to look into a Rubén Darío's texts, originally intended as a prologue to an unpublished work of the Chilean writer Narciso Tondreau. The characteristics of the prologue bring it closer to the genre of the chronicle, which the Nica-raguan poet will develop later. Thematically, the passages that are related to the comments Darío makes on the city of Santiago are chosen, with the aim of exemplifying the Darain flânerie, following the characteristics that Cuvardic presents. Namely, 1) the notion of cultural pilgrimage to the sanctuaries of culture, 2) the touristic perspective of the Darain flânerie, and 3) his assessment of the public space. The paper concludes that the Darian city represents the determinations that open up the path of the modern writer as an artist and journalist at the same time |
