| Resumen en español | Durante la primera mitad del siglo XX, en América Latina surgieron diversas iniciativas colectivas por parte de los negros/afrodescendientes que permitieron la difusión de sus ideas, principalmente a través de la prensa escrita. En ese período, dos periódicos fueron los órganos oficiales para la difusión de los únicos partidos políticos negros/afrodescendientes que han existido en la América de habla hispana: Previsión, vinculado al Partido Independiente de Color en Cuba, y P.A.N., del Partido Autóctono Negro en Uruguay. El objetivo de este artículo es conocer las propuestas que se desarrollaron en estos espacios, en torno a la lucha por obtener representatividad política y las reflexiones sobre las dificultades que enfrentaron para llevar a cabo estas iniciativas únicas en América Latina |
| Resumen en inglés | The first half of the 20th century in Latin America witnessed the emergence of several initiatives led by Black/Afro-Descendant associations in order to propagate their ideas, primarily in journals and periodicals. During this period, two newspapers were founded as the official publications of the only Black/Afro-Descendant political parties that have existed in Spanish-speaking America: Previsión, published by the Partido Independiente de Color in Cuba, and P.A.N. edited by the Partido Autóctono Negro in Uruguay. The objective of this article is to distinguish the proposals that each of these projects developed regarding the struggle to gain political representation and their reflections on the difficulties of carrying out these unique initiatives in Latin America |
