| Resumen en inglés | In this brief speech, the rector of the Universidad Panamericana underlines the not-circumstantial coincidences between Søren Kierkegaard's thought and the founding bases of the Universidad Panamericana. Among these there are the assessment of the individual against the system, the primacy of the person as the conducting string of history and humanity itself, the teaching of an individual truth that converges with a christian life and one that only the individual itself can value as something important to him, the academic labor of the unus versus alia, the purpose of making of each common and ordinary man an unrepeatable individual conscious of himself as existent and thoroughly prepared to take what is truly human into life and action before the mere knowledge. |
| Resumen en español | En este breve discurso, el rector de la Universidad Panamericana subraya las coincidencias no circunstanciales entre el pensamiento de Søren Kierkegaard y las bases fundacionales de la Universidad Panamericana. Entre estas se encuentran la valoración del individuo frente al sistema, la primacía de la persona como hilo conductor de la historia y la humanidad, la enseñanza de una verdad individual que se toca con una vida cristiana y que sólo el individuo mismo puede valorar como importante para sí, la tarea universitaria del unus versus alia, el propósito de hacer de cada hombre común y corriente un individuo irrepetible consciente de sí mismo como existente y plenamente preparado para llevar a la vida y a la práctica lo verdaderamente humano antes que los meros conocimientos. |
