| Resumen en inglés | Social movements are in a period of great visibility. Among them, feminism gains more and more force both in manifestations and in spaces of discussion in the media and everyday life. This article aims to analyze the covers of the December 2015 issue of ELLE Brasil Magazine, which brought as its main theme a "Feminist Manifest" present inside the magazine. From a historical-semiotic approach, we seek to analyze the elements used in the construction of the images chosen to illustrate the edition and how these communicate with the current feminist ideals. For this, it is necessary to understand how the feminine image is conveyed and how the feminist movements have discussed and discuss the ideals of femininity imposed on women. In addition of the Brazilian approach, the discussions of the movements in the Western area will also be presented, since the discourses approach when the subject involves the relations between the feminine condition and the femininity imposed on the woman |
| Resumen en portugués | Os movimentos sociais se encontram em período de enorme visibilidade. Dentre eles, o feminismo ganha cada vez mais força tanto em manifestações como em espaços de discussões nos meios de comunicação e no cotidiano. O presente artigo visa analisar as capas da edição de dezembro de 2015 da Revista ELLE Brasil que trouxe como tema principal um “Manifesto Feminista” presente no interior da revista. A partir de uma abordagem histórico-semiótica, busca-se analisar os elementos utilizados na construção das imagens escolhidas para ilustrar a edição e como essas se comunicam com os ideais feministas atuais. Para isso, é necessária a compreensão de como a imagem feminina é veiculada e como os movimentos feministas discutiram e discutem sobre os ideais de feminilidade impostos as mulheres. Apesar do enfoque brasileiro, serão apresentadas também as discussões dos movimentos em âmbito ocidental, pois os discursos se aproximam quando o assunto envolve as relações entre a condição feminina e a feminilidade imposta à mulher |
