| Resumen en inglés | The quantity of visitation in natural environments are growing up and in this context , a new one touristic segment is emerging, which has the non-biotic natural patrimony as its attractive – the geotourism. Considering the potentialities explored by the geotourism, the geomorphosites, small parts of the geodiversity found inside of the non-biotic natural patrimony, water falls, are places of great potential, which are very explored by its scenic beauty. The geomorphology, specifically the fluvial geomorphology, has strong relation with the geotourism, supplying knowledge for the identification, classification, use and management of the natural beauty related to the fluvial dynamics, as the water falls, which are the object of this paper. The aim of this research is to identify, to analyse and to map the water falls of the Indianópolis city, located in Triângulo Mineiro region, Minas Gerais State, for subsiding reflections about its potential, use geotourism and, consequently, the establishment of the strategies related to the geo-conservation of these sites. The methodology used was related to the pertinent bibliographic review, field work in water falls spots and lab work. This methodology permits to identify a lot of water falls that can be used in geotourism. However, it is necessary to make a planning for organizing the touristic activity in Indianópolis, which will be fundamental for the geoconservation |
| Resumen en portugués | É crescente o número de visitas em ambientes naturais e neste contexto emerge um novo segmento turístico que tem o patrimônio natural abiótico como atrativo – o geoturismo. Dentro das potencialidades exploradas pelo geoturismo, os geomorfossítios, pequena parcela da geodiversidade encontrada dentro do patrimônio natural abiótico, como as quedas d’água, são locais de grande potencial, sendo muito procuradas devido a sua beleza cênica. A Geomorfologia, em específico a Geomorfologia Fluvial, tem íntima relação com o geoturismo, fornecendo conhecimentos para a identificação, classificação, aproveitamento e gestão de belezas naturais relacionadas à dinâmica dos rios, tais como as quedas d’águas que são o objeto de estudo do presente trabalho. Este trabalho tem por objetivo principal identificar, analisar e mapear as quedas d’água do município de Indianópolis, localizado na região do Triângulo Mineiro, Estado de Minas Gerais, visando subsidiar as reflexões acerca de seu potencial para aproveitamento pelo geoturismo e, consequentemente, estabelecimento de estratégias voltadas à geoconservação destes locais. A metodologia empregada envolveu revisão bibliográfica pertinente ao tema, realização de trabalhos de campo nas áreas com quedas d’água e trabalhos de gabinete. A partir desta metodologia depreendemos que a área de estudo apresenta diversas quedas d’água que podem ser aproveitadas pelo geoturismo, devendo, no entanto, ocorrer um planejamento que contemple e ordene a atividade turística no município de Indianópolis, oportunizando a implementação da geoconservação |
