| Resumen en español | El objetivo del presente estudio es identificar la reconfiguración del espacio agrícola hidalguense y su vínculo con la producción alimentaria entre 1917 y 1940. Se contempló, para ello, el plusvalor absoluto, la ley de la fertilidad decreciente del suelo y la teoría de la renta diferencial con el fin de establecer cómo ayudan a explicar los apartados del texto. Como resultado, se identificó la especificidad del espacio agrícola, caracterizado por la selecta propiedad ejidal, vinculada de forma cuasiproductiva con las viejas condiciones agrícolas. En otro sentido, se mencionan las limitaciones de las fuentes estadísticas y geográficas, las cuales fueron subsanadas de forma indirecta; de ahí que este esfuerzo constituye una aproximación al asunto de estudio. El valor del trabajo reside en que ayuda a incentivar el debate acerca de la problemática actual de la inseguridad alimentaria en Hidalgo (México): dotación y producción. Finalmente, se concluye que, durante el periodo de análisis, el diferencial en el espacio y la limitada autosuficiencia alimentaria fueron inevitables y específicos |
| Resumen en inglés | The objective of this study is to identify the reconfiguration of Hidalgo’s agricultural space and its link to food production between 1917 and 1940. For this, we considered the absolute surplus value, the law of decreasing soil fertility and, the theory of differential rent in order to establish how they help explain the sections of the text. As a result, the specificity of the agricultural space was identified, characterized by the select ejido property, linked in a quasiproductive way to the old agricultural conditions. In another sense, the limitations of the statistical and geographical sources are mentioned, which were corrected indirectly; hence, this effort constitutes an approximation to the matter of study. The value of the work is that it helps stimulate the debate regarding the current problem of food insecurity in Hidalgo (Mexico): supply and production.
