| Resumen en español | El Estado de Bienestar, proceso histórico, en el contexto de la sociedad burguesa europea de principios de siglo XX hasta la fecha, ha sido objeto de las más variadas discusiones de orden teórico y político. Dichas discusiones tienen como punto de referencia los cambios en el aparato productivo, la reconfiguración y transformación del Estado liberal del siglo XIX. Desde esta perspectiva, se ha desarrollado un fervor por la estabilidad del Estado de Bienestar en aras de la socialización de los beneficios económicos del sistema. En otras ocasiones se le ha criticado porque la cobertura social que proporciona el Estado interfiere en la actividad productiva, limitando la autonomía del mercado para generar ganancias. Lo que es claro, una vez abordada la literatura académica sobre el tema, es la discusión acerca de la sostenibilidad o no del Estado de Bienestar, como proyecto social y económico, lo que ha desembocado, incluso, en lo que hoy se conoce como la crisis del Estado de Bienestar |
| Resumen en inglés | The Welfare State, historical process, taking place within the context of the European bourgeois society, from the early Twentieth century to our days, has been he subjects of a wide range of and theoretical discussions. Such discussions have as a reference, the changes taking place in the production structure and the re-configuration and transformation of the XIX Century`s liberal State. Observed from this viewpoint, devotion to the stability of this Welfare State, which has been building over the years, is a real expectation for the socialization of the system´s economic benefits. In other instance, the Welfare State has been criticized because the social coverage provided by the interferes with all production activities, by raising obstacles to the market´s autonomy to obtain profits. Nevertheless, it is clear to us that, once we have undertaken the academic literature on the subject, that the real issue is the discussion about the continuity of the modern State´s role as political mediator between the market logic and the public interest. In this sense, re-structuring or de-structuring the state shall led us or not to the problem know among scholars as the “Crisis of the Welfare-State” |
