| Resumen en español | Este escrito constituye un avance del proyecto de investigación doctoral en el que, desde una perspectiva antropológica, me interrogo acerca del vínculo entre el diagnóstico de la fragmentación socioespacial que pesa sobre la comuna 8 de la ciudad de Buenos Aires, y las formas de habitar la juventud de algunos de sus residentes. Sostendré que ese diagnóstico busca fundar “la necesidad” de particulares modos de intervención en lo social (Carballeda 2012), orientados a volver este fragmento urbano en atractivo para los inversores privados, sentenciándose ese camino como única vía a su “desarrollo económico y social”. En ese marco, asimismo focalizo en la “participación” que jóvenes habitantes de este fragmento, hoy referenciado como comuna “olímpica”, tuvieron en la creación de un espacio específicamente diseñado para el desarrollo de un deporte “olímpico”. Se recurre a una metodología de tipo cualitativa, anclada en producción de entrevistas en profundidad, observación participante y análisis de fuentes secundarias. Concluiremos que más allá de la pretensión disciplinaria desplegada por agentes estatales y otros vecinos del barrio en torno al tiempo “ocioso” de los jóvenes, las apropiaciones del espacio urbano por ellos desplegadas deben valorase en el marco de disputas en torno al derecho a la ciudad. Asimismo, que aun cuando esta área concentra los indicadores estadísticos más deficitarios de la ciudad, constructores de amenazantes horizontes de exclusión, sus modos de habitar el mundo social nos alejan de la imagen de un “mundo aislado”. De ello mismo se constata que el diagnóstico de la fragmentación no puede ser un a priori de la investigación, debiéndonos en todo caso preguntarnos por los modos en que los agentes sociales están reproduciendo, negociando o impugnando ese orden social. | Resumen en inglés | This paper constitutes an advance of my PhD research project in which, from an anthropological perspective, I am asking about the link between the diagnosis of the social and spatial fragmentation referred to the 8th district of the city of Buenos Aires, and the ways of inhabit the youth by some of its residents. I will argue that this diagnosis of fragmentation seeks to found "the need" for particular modes of intervention in the social (Carballeda 2012), aimed at making this urban fragment attractive to private investors, sentencing that way as the only to achieve their "economic and social development". In that context, I also focus on the "participation" that young inhabitants of this fragment, now referred as "Olympic" commune, had in creation of a space specifically designed for the development of an "Olympic" sport. For this purpose I choose a qualitative methodology, anchored in the production of deep interviews, participant-observation and analysis of primary and secondary sources. We will conclude that beyond the disciplinary pretension deployed by state agents and other neighbors around the "idle" time of young people, appropriations of the urban space they deploy should be valued within the framework of the dispute over the right to the city. Likewise, even though this area concentrates the city's most deficient statistical indicators, constructors of threatening horizons of exclusion, the ways in which they inhabiting the social world distract us from the image of an "isolated world." From this it is observed that the diagnosis of fragmentation cannot be an a priori of research, and we should in any case ask about the ways in which social agents are reproducing, negotiating or challenging that social order.
