| Resumen en español | En los últimos años, se ha podido evidenciar en el país cambios de perspectiva en el ámbito académico-universitario, con relación al valor de la utilidad de la ciencia. Las funciones tradicionales de docencia e investigación básica se han extendido a otros campos al generar conocimiento e impulsar una mayor transferencia hacia el sector productivo. Las creaciones generadas, tangibles e intangibles, no son más que el resultado de la acumulación del aprendizaje y la asimilación del conocimiento científico sistematizado en el ámbito universitario, por lo que son variadas y susceptibles de ser protegidas en materia de Propiedad Intelectual (PI). El objetivo de este artículo es hacer evidente las actividades de Gestión de Propiedad Intelectual de la Universidad Centroccidental “Lisandro Alvarado” (UCLA), como parte de su misión académica y presentar algunos resultados. Investigaciones, con relación al tema, promovieron la creación de una línea de investigación en Gestión Tecnológica y Propiedad Intelectual, cuyos resultados se presentaron en ponencias de eventos nacionales e internacionales; además, se dictaron conferencias, cursos, talleres y conversatorios; se realizaron jornadas y se crearon dos comisiones para redactar el Reglamento sobre Derechos de la Propiedad Intelectual (RsDPI); se firmó un convenio con el Sistema Autónomo de Propiedad Intelectual (SAPI), se creó el Departamento de Gestión Tecnológica y Propiedad Intelectual (DGTyPI) y, últimamente, se realizaron convenios con universidades nacionales. A través de estas y otras gestiones, se ha venido concientizando sobre la importancia de la PI, tanto entre su personal académico como de sus autoridades, lo cual logró la aprobación del RsDPI a principio del 2017 |
| Resumen en inglés | In recent years, it has been possible to observe in the country changes of perspective in the university’s academic in relation to the value of the usefulness of science. The traditional functions of teaching and basic research have been extended to other fields generating knowledge and promoting a greater transfer to the productive sector. The creations generated, tangible and intangible, are not more than the result of the accumulation of learning and the assimilation ofscientific knowledge systematized in the university environment, being very varied and susceptible to be protected in the matter of Intellectual Property (IP). The objective of this article is to make evident the Intellectual Property Management activities of the Universidad Centroccidental Lisandro Alvarado (UCLA) as part of its academic misión and present some results. Researches, in relation to the subject, promoted the creation of a line of research in Technological Management and Intellectual Property whose results were presented in papers at national and international events; lectures, courses, workshops and talks were perform; seminars were held and two commissions were created to draft the Regulation on Intellectual Property Rights (RsDPI); an agreement was signed with the Autonomous System of Intellectual Property (SAPI), the Department of Technological Management and Intellectual Property (DGTyPI) was created and agreements were recently made with national universities. Through these and other demarches, it has been slowly raising awareness about the importance of IP, both among its academic staff and its authorities, achieving the approval of the RsDPI at the beginning of 2017 |
