| Resumen en inglés | The purpose of this article is to present the results of the therapeutic intervention study carried out in the dental service belonging to the health area of the "Guillermo Tejas Silva" polyclinic in the province of Las Tunas, in the period from March 2018 to February 2019, with the aim of evaluating the effectiveness of the use of Oleozon in pulporadicular treatment (TPR) in patients over 15 years of age. The universe was constituted by the population over 15 years of age, at the time of the study and in need of pulporadicular treatment. The research sample was selected by the simple randomized method and was 44 patients distributed in two groups, one study group that received treatment with Oleozon and one control group that received conventional treatment. The variables age, pulp and periapical disease with pulporadicular treatment, time of evolution and effectiveness of the treatment were recorded. The information was obtained from the oral examination and the Individual Clinical History. The age group of 35-59 years was predominant. As pulp and periapical disease with pulporadicular treatment, necrosis predominated. The satisfactory evolution of the patients treated with Oleozon in a shorter interval of time demonstrated the effectiveness of ozone therapy. |
| Resumen en español | Este artículo tiene como propósito presentar los resultados del estudio de intervención terapéutica realizado en el servicio estomatológico perteneciente al área de salud del policlínico "Guillermo Tejas Silva" de la provincia Las Tunas, en el período comprendido entre marzo de 2018 a febrero de 2019, con el objetivo de evaluar la efectividad del uso del Oleozón en el tratamiento pulporadicular (TPR) en pacientes mayores de 15 años de edad. El universo lo constituyó la población mayor de 15 años, en el momento de realizarse el estudio y con necesidad de tratamiento pulporadicular. La muestra de la investigación se seleccionó por el método aleatorio simple y fue de 44 pacientes distribuidos en dos grupos, uno de estudio que recibió tratamiento con Oleozón y uno de control que recibió tratamiento convencional. Se registraron las variables edad, enfermedad pulpar y periapical con tratamiento pulporadicular, tiempo de evolución y efectividad del tratamiento. La información se obtuvo del examen bucal y de la Historia Clínica Individual. Predominó el grupo etario de 35-59 años. Como enfermedad pulpar y periapical con tratamiento pulporadicular predominó la necrosis. La evolución satisfactoria de los pacientes tratados con Oleozón en un intervalo menor de tiempo demostró la efectividad de la ozonoterapia. |
