| Resumen en español | En el siguiente trabajo me propongo analizar la novela escr ita por Manuel Vicent El azar de la mujer rubia. El texto se nos presenta como una nueva mirada sobre la transición, esta vez estructurada de sde un personaje femenino a partir del cual se trazan los hilos de la historia española desde la muerte de Franco hasta la actualidad. Sin embargo, la lectura de la obra revela que el personaje que se encuentra en primer plano no es otro que Adolfo Suárez y que el material que funciona como pun to de partida es la propia obra periodística de Manuel Vicent. Pu ede pensarse entonces esta novela como un intento de salvar del olvido a quellos artículos periodísticos de un valor inestimable –por haber s ido escritos en el momento en que los acontecimientos históricos se estaban desarrollando– pero también como una obra presentada como novedosa por develar la trama oculta de un triángulo amoroso que influyó directamen te en la historia del país, con un personaje femenino que es, por prime ra vez, recuperado y transformado en heroína. El estudio se centrar á entonces en la forma en que Vicent recupera aquellos textos periodísticos y en las operaciones de inclusión de los mismos en una narración qu e mezcla ficción con historia para regresar, una vez más, a uno de los momentos trascendentes de la historia reciente española |
| Resumen en inglés | In the next paper I intend to look the novel written by Man uel Vicent El azar de la mujer rubia . The text is presented to us as a new perspective on the transition, this time structured from a female cha racter from which are drawn the wires of the Spanish history since Franco’s d eath until the present. However, the reading of the work reveals that th e character is in the foreground is not another that Adolfo Suárez and that the material that serves as a starting point is the own journalistic of Manuel Vicent. It would think then this novel as an attempt to save from oblivion those newspaper articles of inestimable value –for having bee n written at the time that the historical events were unfolding– but also as a work that was presented as novel to reveal the hidden story of a love t riangle that directly influenced the history of the country, with a female character that is, for the first time, recovered and processed into heroin. The study will focus on the way in which Vicent retrieves those jour nalistic texts and in the operations of inclusion of the same in a text that mixes fiction with history to return, once more, to the one of the momentous of the recent Spanish history |
