| Resumen en inglés | The implementation of Knelson gravity concentrator for treatment of a polymetallic sulfide ores and its incidence on the overall gold recovery, by taking into account the simplicity of operation, the low operation cost and decrease of problems due to lower reactives use (in flotation or in leaching) is presented. Operation results wich allow the best recoveries as a function of pressure and cycle time are also given. Finally, solution alternatives to contingent problems are presented, based on environmental restrictions imposed by chilean refineries as well as those patronized by Berrick-Chile and Soc.
