| Resumen en inglés | In this article we discuss the topic of intuition and intuitive method at the thought of Henri Bergson, aiming to show from which problems such method might arise and which difficulties he tries to resolve in their development during certains texts of the french philosopher. To reach the issue of intuition in Bergson, we must briefly address fundamental themes of his philosophy, namely, the duration and time; inner intuition and his contact with the inner Self ; the being as mobility and the Bergson's split with classic metaphysics that sees the immobile as essential and change as accidental. We will discuss also about bergsonian metaphysics and symbolic science as forms of knowledge of the absolute, whether ana lytical - material or intuitive - spiritual. Finally, we discuss the problem of the expression of intuition or, in other words, the communication of duration in terms of space; the difficulty of language and intelligence to say the moving being and the bergson ian proposed for solution of this impasse by introducing the metaphor of images and flexible concepts. In order to meet our primary objectives and explain the difficulties indicated above – showing how Bergson outline it – as well as clarify the operation of the method and intuitive knowledge, we will be based on the following texts of Bergson: “An Introduction to Metaphysics” (1903), a conference entitled “The Philosophical Intuition” (1911) and the two introductions of “The Creative Mind” (1922), where th ese concepts or appear for the first time, or take decisive developments |
| Resumen en portugués | Neste artigo abordaremos o tema da intuição e o método intuitivo no pensamento de Henri Bergson, tendo por objetivo mostrar a p artir de quais problemas tal método pôde surgir e quais dificuldades ele tenta solucionar em seu desenvolvimento no decorrer de determinados textos do filósofo francês. Para alcançar o problema da intuição em Bergson, teremos que tratar brevemente de temas fundamentais de sua filosofia, a saber, a duração e o tempo; a intuição interior e seu contato com o Eu profundo; o ser como mobilidade e a cisão de Bergson com a metafísica antiga, clássica, que vê o imóvel como essencial e a mudança como acidental. Disc orreremos também acerca da metafísica bergsoniana e da ciência simbólica como formas de conhecimento do absoluto, seja ele intuitivo - espiritual ou analítico - material. Por fim, abordaremos o problema da expressão da intuição ou, em outras palavras, da comun icação da duração em termos espaciais; a dificuldade da linguagem e da inteligência de dizer o ser movente e a proposta bergsoniana de solução deste impasse através da introdução da metáfora, das imagens e dos conceitos flexíveis. Com o intuito de atender nossos objetivos principais e explicitar as dificuldades acima apontadas – mostrando de que forma Bergson as contorna – , além de esclarecer o funcionamento do método e do conhecimento intuitivo, iremos nos basear nos seguintes textos de Bergson: “A Introdu ção da Metafísica” (1903), a conferência intitulada “A Intuição Filosófica” (1911) e as duas introduções de "O Pensamento e o Movente" (1922), onde esses conceitos aparecem ou pela primeira vez, ou tomando desenvolvimentos decisivos |
